There are almost 57,000 military aircraft in the world. That is about 14,000 more than civilian aircrafts.
On the other hand, they fly on average much less than their civilian counterparts: only 13 million flight hours against 83 million. This gives 228 FH per military tail and 1930 FH per civilian tail.
